TS9 mods
taking a pure clean, innocent TS9 and unscrewing the base plate and desoldering parts to tune the tone is somewhat of a passion of my own,
ive learnt what parts do to a specific part of the circuit and how important that is in the end result, ive tinkered and added switches and found some pretty drastic sounds that are candidates for ‘sounds that should never be heard by human ears’…….
Years of pain and frustration to find what sounds best, how to make a TS9 sound like your favourite “boutique” pedal!
Heres a tip…. every single overdrive out there today is based off of the tubescreamer circuit… i havent heard anything new in all my research, i keep finding myself just calling every overdrive a tubescreamer… you should try calling your friends brand new ‘timmy’ a tubescreamer (its a great tubescreamer with treble and bass knobs…. ) and see what they say!! “what the heck man, its not a tubescreamer its a boutique guitar pedal made by paul cochran, its like the best man!”, just smile and nod people, smile and nod!
